The Caregiver position at Interim HealthCare involves providing essential personal care and support to seniors, enabling them to live safely and happily at home. Caregivers will assist with daily living activities, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for clients.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and support to seniors to help them live safely at home.
• Assist with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and light housekeeping.
• Prepare meals and provide companionship to clients.
• Help with ambulation, transferring, and range of motion exercises.
• Provide medication reminders and document clients' conditions.
• Notify a supervisor of any concerns regarding clients' health or safety.
• Ensure a safe home environment with unobstructed pathways.
• Participate in activities that bring joy to clients, such as puzzles, games, and reading.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent and active Caregiver (HCA) registration in CA (or the ability to obtain one).
• Six months of experience in a caregiver role, preferred.
• CPR certification or the ability to obtain one.
• Valid CA driver's license, auto insurance, and transportation.
• Compassionate and helping nature, good communication skills, and ability to lift 30 pounds.
