About the position
The Caregiver position at Companions & Homemakers involves providing in-home care to seniors, ensuring their health, safety, and happiness while promoting their independence. Caregivers will implement customized care plans and deliver compassionate support to enhance the quality of life for clients. This role is ideal for individuals who are dependable, empathetic, and motivated by the desire to help others.
Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional care to clients in their homes.
- Execute comprehensive personalized weekly schedules and care plans.
- Complete daily tasks in a safe and professional manner (ADLs).
- Provide personal companionship and ongoing social & emotional support.
- Assist with personal care activities including hygiene, mobility, incontinence care, light housekeeping, feeding, and meal preparation.
- Ensure order, safety, and client enjoyment at all times.
- Provide transportation to and from appointments as needed.
- Document completion of tasks and report changes in the client's condition.
Requirements
- Experience with Hoyer lift and caregiving.
- CNA certification or equivalent experience.
- Ability to create and follow care plans.
- Compassionate and empathetic demeanor.
- Entry-level candidates are welcome.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in memory care.
- Flexibility in scheduling.
- Previous experience as a PCA or HHA.
