About the position

The Caregiver position in Katy, TX is a part-time role focused on providing essential support to seniors and individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities. The caregiver will work every other weekend, ensuring that clients receive the necessary care and companionship to enhance their quality of life.

Responsibilities

• Provide assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Assist with mobility and transfers, including using assistive devices and techniques.
• Administer medications according to prescribed schedules and document accurately.
• Monitor and report changes in clients' physical and mental health status.
• Assist with meal planning, preparation, and feeding.
• Perform light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and organizing.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.

Requirements

• Experience in caregiving or a related field is preferred.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to travel to clients' homes.
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and the importance of maintaining client privacy.
• Familiarity with resident rights in assisted living or home care settings.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
• Compassionate and patient demeanor when working with seniors or individuals in need of care.
