About the position

The Caregiver position at Civility Home Care involves providing essential support to individuals in their homes and communities who require assistance due to age, illness, or disability. Caregivers are responsible for delivering personal care services, ensuring client safety, and fostering companionship while adhering to agency policies and industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
• Ensure client safety and security by supervising the home environment.
• Teach and perform meal planning and preparation, as well as routine housekeeping activities.
• Provide companionship through social interactions and emotional support.
• Perform essential shopping and errands, including handling client finances under supervision.
• Assist clients in following special diet plans as directed by a physician.
• Escort clients to medical appointments and outings as specified in care plans.
• Assist clients with communication by writing or typing correspondence for them.
• Participate in the Care Team by providing input and suggestions.
• Monitor supplies and resources, and evaluate the program for improvements.
• Complete and maintain records of daily activities and observations.
• Attend training sessions and staff meetings to enhance skills and knowledge.
