About the position
As a Caregiver at Sevita, you will provide community-based services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This role focuses on helping participants grow, learn, and live fulfilling lives while developing meaningful relationships. You will support individuals with personal hygiene, behavioral challenges, and developmental goals, all within a mission-driven environment that values compassion and trust.
Responsibilities
- Assist individuals with personal hygiene and daily living activities.
- Support participants in achieving their developmental goals such as budgeting, exercise, and nutrition.
- Help participants engage in community activities and enjoy their favorite pastimes.
- Build meaningful relationships with the individuals served.
- Take initiative to ensure the well-being of participants.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Six months of experience in human services, direct care, or care coordination preferred.
- Valid Driver's license and access to a registered vehicle with proof of insurance.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to adapt and multi-task effectively.
- Teamwork and time-management skills.
