About the position

The Caregiver position at Green Lake Senior Living involves providing direct care assistance to residents, ensuring their comfort and well-being while supporting their daily activities. Responsibilities include assisting with personal care, meal preparation, and maintaining a clean living space, all while adhering to safety and health regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as grooming, bathing, and transferring residents.
• Assist in meal preparation and serving, while monitoring residents' eating habits.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing housekeeping duties.
• Record and report changes in residents' conditions to supervisors.
• Engage residents in leisure activities and encourage socialization.
• Respond promptly to residents' requests for assistance, including emergency situations.
• Follow proper procedures in emergency situations and report any incidents or accidents involving residents.
• Participate in required in-service training and maintain confidentiality.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• CPR Certification and First Aid Certification.
• Experience in caregiving, particularly with individuals with developmental disabilities and in nursing home settings.
• Knowledge of resident's rights and patient care standards.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Alzheimer's care and hospice care.
• Familiarity with EMR systems and HIPAA regulations.
• Previous experience in assisted living environments.
