About the position
The Caregiver position at Helping Hands involves providing essential support and companionship to clients in their daily lives. Responsibilities
- Planning and preparing meals, including those with dietary restrictions.
- Performing housekeeping tasks such as vacuuming, cleaning kitchens and bathrooms, laundry, and changing bed linens.
- Providing companionship and stimulation for the consumer through activities like reading and walks.
- Accompanying the consumer to appointments as needed.
- Grocery shopping or running other errands when approved.
- Performing personal care tasks for the consumer as needed.
- Assisting with ambulation when the consumer uses mechanical aids such as a walker.
- Completing other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Must complete the agency's employment process.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must exhibit maturity and responsible behavior.
- Must understand consumer confidentiality.
- Must be able to follow directions and work as a team.
- Must have reliable transportation to and from assignments.
- Must pass a drug screen.
