About the position
The Caregiver position involves providing essential support to residents in an adult care home, focusing on their daily living activities and overall well-being. The role is crucial for ensuring that residents receive the necessary assistance and care, contributing to a safe and comfortable living environment.
Responsibilities
- Assistance with activities of daily living (bathing, hygiene, toileting needs, eating, mobility and transfers)
- Medication preparation and administration
- Document residents' progress notes and schedule appointments
- Use of a Hoyer lift if necessary for residents
- Cooking and housekeeping/laundry
- Other health care duties as delegated by the owner/nurse
Requirements
- Ability to speak, read, and write English
- Pass a criminal background check
- Reliable source of transportation
- Punctuality
