About the position

Fruit of the Spirit Companion Services is seeking a part-time caregiver in Jonesboro, Georgia. The role involves providing essential support and assistance to individuals in need of care, particularly in home settings. The ideal candidate will work four hours a day, two days a week, starting from November 6th & 7th, 2024, and will be responsible for ensuring high-quality care for patients.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care services including bathing, grooming, dressing, and feeding patients.
• Assist with mobility and transportation of patients within the facility.
• Monitor patient health by observing vital signs and reporting any changes to nursing staff.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients by following hygiene protocols.
• Support patients with daily living activities while encouraging independence.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Document patient progress and care provided accurately as required.

Requirements

• Experience or familiarity with various healthcare settings such as inpatient care at a Level I or Level II Trauma Center.
• Experience in medical-surgical units or emergency medicine environments.
• Operating Room (OR) assistance or clinic support roles.
• Experience in geriatrics or hospital medicine is highly desirable.
• Previous roles in teaching hospitals will be considered an asset.

• Valid CPR Certification
