Responsibilities
- Provide direct care to clients including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
- Assist with personal hygiene improvement and maintenance.
- Support clients with transferring and ambulation assistance.
- Remind clients to take their medications.
- Maintain a clean, comfortable, and safe living environment for clients.
- Provide transportation as requested or approved.
- Prepare meals for clients.
- Perform housekeeping and laundry tasks.
- Assist with grocery shopping for clients.
- Encourage and support clients in completing activities of daily living.
Requirements
- Desire to contribute to the well-being and quality of life of clients.
- Competent in providing direct care to clients.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work independently.
- Ability to identify and escalate unsafe or inappropriate home and community conditions.
- Ability to handle life-threatening emergency situations calmly and appropriately.
- Comfort working in diverse environments and with various client personalities.
