About the position
The Caregiver position at the Adult Foster Home involves providing compassionate care to residents, ensuring their daily needs are met in a supportive environment. Caregivers will assist with medication management, meal preparation, and light housekeeping while fostering a positive atmosphere for residents who enjoy activities like board games and movies.
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with medication management and ensure timely administration.
- Prepare meals and maintain cleanliness in the home.
- Support residents in daily living activities, including showering and personal care for those who need assistance.
- Ensure residents are ready and on time for their day programs.
- Respond to emergencies as needed during the overnight shift.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Obtain First Aid/CPR/AED certification.
- Pass a background check through Lane County DD services.
- Complete a Basic Foster Care Certificate exam.
