About the position

The Caregiver position at Always Best Care involves providing non-medical in-home care to seniors, ensuring their safety, comfort, and dignity. Caregivers assist clients with daily living activities and maintain a clean and secure environment, contributing to the overall well-being of the clients they serve.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic companion care and emotional support to clients.
• Assist with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene.
• Prepare meals and assist with meal clean-up.
• Help with incontinence care and other personal care needs.
• Transport clients to appointments and activities.
• Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean living space.
• Provide medication reminders and ensure clients follow their care plans.
• Engage in conversation with clients to provide assurance and companionship.
• Observe and adhere to Universal Precautions for health and safety.

Requirements

• Minimum of one year experience in caregiving, particularly with seniors.
• Excellent communication skills and proficiency in English.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills to interact effectively with clients and team members.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to pass a background check and provide proof of a TB test taken within the last year.
• State CNA certification or CHHA certification preferred but not required.
