About the position
Visiting Angels is seeking skilled caregivers to provide in-home care for clients, focusing on personal grooming, mobility assistance, and companionship. This role offers flexible scheduling and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of others. Caregivers will work primarily overnight shifts and are expected to assist clients with various daily living activities while ensuring their comfort and safety.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal grooming and hygiene
- Support mobility and provide assistance with bathing
- Manage nutrition and feeding for clients
- Prepare meals and snacks according to instructions
- Perform housekeeping, laundry, shopping, and errands
- Engage clients in companionship activities such as reading and puzzles
- Document and report any changes in client's health status
Requirements
- Valid Driver's license and insured automobile
- Ability to work every other weekend
- Legally able to work in the United States
- Must be able to pass criminal background checks
- Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screening
- High school diploma or equivalent
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with dementia and Alzheimer's care
- Previous experience in providing personal care
