About the position

Touching Hearts at Home Birmingham is actively seeking dedicated in-home caregivers, private duty aides, and Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to provide essential direct care for our clients. In light of the recent health crisis, many elderly individuals and families are opting to remain in their homes, necessitating quality care and companionship. Our caregivers play a crucial role in ensuring that these clients receive the support they need to maintain their independence and well-being in a familiar environment. We are proud to offer immediate openings for caregivers in the Birmingham area, and we invite you to join our compassionate team. As a caregiver, you will be responsible for providing personal care, companionship, and assistance with daily living activities. This role requires a commitment to enhancing the quality of life for our clients through attentive and respectful care. Open interviews are held at our office located at 1900 Crestwood Blvd Suite 98, Irondale, Alabama 35210, every Monday and Friday from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Responsibilities

  • Provide direct care and companionship to clients in their homes.
  • Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and meal preparation.
  • Monitor and record vital signs as needed.
  • Ensure a safe and clean environment for clients.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and their families regarding care needs and preferences.
  • Assist with mobility and transportation as required.
  • Adhere to all safety and health regulations.

Requirements

  • Must have a High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation are required.
  • Must pass a background check and drug screening.
  • Experience in caregiving for at least 1 year is preferred.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with vital signs monitoring.
  • Willingness to travel to clients' homes as needed.
