Vista Senior Living Management is a dedicated branch tailored specifically for senior communities, specializing in Assisted Living, Memory Care, and Independent Living services. Eden Vista of Green Bay is a proud member of the Vista Senior Living Management network, where compassionate care meets exceptional living. We are currently seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers/Personal Care Assistants (PCA) to join our team in Green Bay, WI. This position is designed for Weekend Warriors who will work on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, with a requirement to work 32 hours during the weekend while being compensated as if they worked 40 hours. Weekend Warriors will also receive weekend and shift differentials, although they will not be eligible for sign-on bonuses. This role is ideal for those looking to work extra hours while maintaining flexibility to pick up additional shifts or work another job on the side. As a Caregiver/PCA, you will provide essential assistance to residents, including medication reminders, bathing, grooming, dressing, escort services, and other activities of daily living. You will follow the schedule of resident needs set by your supervisor and provide emotional and social support to residents. It is crucial to document daily assistance logs and inform supervisors of any resident issues or concerns. You will be expected to respect and encourage the independence and dignity of the residents while maintaining their confidentiality. Familiarity with emergency equipment and procedures is essential, and attendance at all required training, in-service, and staff meetings is mandatory. You will strive to maintain a safe working environment through the prevention of accidents and the preservation of equipment, all while maintaining a positive and professional demeanor toward residents, visitors, families, and co-workers. Other duties may be assigned as necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Provides assistance with medication reminders, bathing, grooming, dressing, escort service, and other activities of daily living.
  • Follows the schedule of resident's needs set out by supervisor.
  • Provides emotional and social support to residents.
  • Documents daily log of assistance.
  • Informs supervisor of any resident issues or concerns.
  • Respects and encourages the independence and dignity of the residents.
  • Maintains residents' confidentiality.
  • Familiar with emergency equipment and procedures.
  • Attends all required training, in-service, and staff meetings.
  • Strives to maintain a safe working environment through the prevention of accidents and preservation of equipment.
  • Maintains a positive and professional demeanor toward residents, visitors, families, and co-workers.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Experience in long-term care or Assisted Living is preferred.
  • Ability to communicate well in both verbal and written forms.
  • Commitment to interacting professionally and with care toward residents, families, and other staff.
  • CPR Certification is preferred.

Nice-to-haves

  • 1 year of caregiving experience is preferred.
