About the position

The CarelonRx Account Manager II is responsible for ensuring client retention and operational excellence for a complex book of business in the pharmacy sector. This role involves building relationships with key decision-makers, collaborating with internal teams to resolve operational issues, and executing client-specific deliverables. The Account Manager will leverage data to track account performance and support the implementation of new clients and contract renewals.

Responsibilities

  • Cultivates and builds relationships with broker/consultant/client key decision makers through quality service.
  • Influences and collaborates with internal partners to deliver best-in-class service, including resolving operational issues and driving recovery efforts.
  • Executes client-specific operational deliverables, including benefit setup, reporting, and project support as needed.
  • Leverages data to track account performance and identify trends/opportunities for client growth and retention strategies.
  • Responsible for operational understanding of all Rx products and solutions.
  • Supports implementation for new/existing clients and contract renewals.

Requirements

  • Requires a BA/BS and a minimum of 2 years of related experience in account management, sales, or managing business/client relationships.
  • Proven health insurance plans account management and client retention experience, particularly in Pharmacy sales and/or Pharmacy Benefit Management.
  • Exceptional strategic thinking, analytical, organization, decision-making, problem-solving skills, and adaptability.
  • Proven ability to manage cross-functional teams and coordinate efforts towards common goals.
  • Excellent written, oral, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience or knowledge of Salesforce and/or claims operating systems.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products, especially PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook, Excel, and Word.
