About the position

The Carelon Sales Account Executive is responsible for acquiring new business and achieving annual EBITDA targets. This role involves managing the sales cycle from lead qualification through contracting, building strong client relationships, and acting as a thought leader in the healthcare field. The position requires collaboration with various departments to translate market opportunities into innovative products and solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Take ownership of the sales cycle from lead qualification through contracting.
  • Build strong client relationships and establish executive credibility with key stakeholders including clients, government agencies, and vendor partners.
  • Act as a thought leader to potential clients demonstrating knowledge of state and federal programs, health plan business, and regulations.
  • Collaborate with Account Management, Clinical, Government Affairs, Product Development, and Operations to create profitable new business opportunities.

Requirements

  • BA/BS degree and a minimum of 5 years of sales experience within the healthcare field, or equivalent education and experience.

Nice-to-haves

  • Health Plan background or experience selling into health plans is strongly preferred.
  • Experience selling into state, counties, and other government entities preferred.
