About the position

The position involves driving and providing services in a cargo department, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards while maintaining effective communication with clients and colleagues. The role requires a focus on service performance and documentation accuracy, as well as adherence to company policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Work with Client Special Services Representatives to ensure all requests for services are met.
  • Actively participate in the Safety Management System (SMS).
  • Pull assignments or work orders from computer, as needed.
  • Complete all reports accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Familiarize with all FAA/TSA/Airline/Company regulations.
  • Keep supervisor informed of needs and problems in assigned areas.
  • Maintain cleanliness of immediate work area and report maintenance needs.
  • Escalate issues to Operations Manager immediately.
  • Deal courteously and tactfully with fellow employees and passengers if necessary.
  • Communicate effectively with fellow employees.
  • Maintain all service transactions in the Cargo department tracking program or in the appropriate format for the location.
  • Create and generate reports of service performance in locations with the Cargo tracking program software or via manual performance logs.
  • Receive and respond to telephone and radio calls from Client representatives and employees in a professional and timely manner.
  • Complete the appropriate documentation and reports in a thorough and timely manner.
  • Project a positive image and respond to inquiries from airlines, staff, and public in a courteous manner.
  • Attend meetings and in-services as required.
  • Wear proper uniform or business attire as directed by company officials and ensure identification badges are visible.
  • Perform other duties as requested.
  • Comply with all safety requirements, including using only trained equipment, reporting unsafe conditions, wearing proper PPE, and attending required safety training.

Requirements

  • Previous driving experience of tractor trailers, box trucks, buses, etc. preferred.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Must have a home telephone.
  • Must have reliable transportation.
  • Must have a valid driver's license, commercial license preferred.
  • Must have a minimum of HS diploma or GED/Equivalent Required.
