About the position

The Cargo Sales Coordinator plays a crucial role in supporting the cargo trade and corporate clients by providing efficient administrative services to the Cargo Sales team. This position involves managing sales administration tasks, maintaining client relationships, and ensuring effective communication between clients and the sales team.

Responsibilities

  • Support Cargo Sales team with sales administration including sales reports, arranging appointments, and filing of sales documents.
  • Update client records and provide an office-based contact point for clients such as freight forwarders and cargo agents.
  • Answer sales queries in the absence of the field-based sales team and issue information on SkyCargo's products and services.
  • Identify potential sales leads and pass them to the sales team.
  • Develop and maintain productive business relationships through regular contact with existing clients.
  • Investigate and respond to customer complaints, restoring customer confidence where there has been service failure.
  • Advise management on customer feedback to improve service quality and minimize failures.
  • Assist sales team with monitoring performance of key accounts using various information sources.
  • Collate and analyze statistics such as rates, volumes, revenues, yield, and seasonal variations.
  • Respond to queries from internal customers, including Head Office departments and other Outstations.
  • Maintain accurate records of all contractual agreements.
  • Undertake telesales campaigns for routes with identified vacant capacity to maximize revenues.
  • Ensure all existing cargo clients are aware of Emirates SkyCargo products and services by distributing relevant materials.
  • Undertake arrangements for promotional/client hospitality events.

Requirements

  • Educated to GCSE (or equivalent).
  • At least 6 years of experience in a Cargo environment, with at least 2 years in Airline Cargo Accounting or Cargo Sales.
  • Knowledge of Cargo reservations systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Self-motivated and proactive with the ability to work independently.
  • Excellent planning and organization skills.
