About the position
The Dewatering Technician is responsible for maintaining and operating dewatering systems to ensure efficient water removal from mining operations. This role is crucial for maintaining site safety and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain dewatering pumps and related equipment.
- Monitor water levels and adjust equipment as necessary to ensure optimal performance.
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance on dewatering systems.
- Troubleshoot and repair equipment failures as they arise.
- Document maintenance activities and report any issues to the supervisor.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in maintenance or a related field.
- Ability to operate heavy machinery and equipment safely.
