About the position

The Carpenter/Laborer position at Green Peaks Painting and Remodeling LLC is a full-time role focused on various carpentry tasks, including remodeling, installation, and maintenance. The ideal candidate will demonstrate craftsmanship and attention to detail, contributing to residential construction projects in Springfield, Oregon.

Responsibilities

• Perform various carpentry tasks including remodeling, siding installation, frame carpentry, and maintenance repairs.
• Install fixtures such as doors and windows effectively.
• Install or refinish flooring.
• Assist with water damage restoration projects.
• Hang doors and perform general building tasks.
• Install or repair flooring of different varieties.
• Hang cabinetry and install countertops (not granite/quartz).
• Install or repair tile and interior/exterior trim work.
• Install or repair fences or decks flawlessly.
• Drive company vehicle and tow trailers as needed.
• Pick up work materials and provide guidance to junior carpenters.
• Engage in painting jobs and learn from senior team members.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Carpenter.
• Proficiency in reading a tape measure, cutting materials, and using carpentry tools.
• Valid Oregon Driver's License with an insurable driving record.
• Ability to lift heavy materials.
• Willingness to work overtime, especially in summer.

Nice-to-haves

• Knowledge of drywall and texturing preferred.
• Experience in residential painting.
