The Carpenter/Foreman position at Zernco involves performing physical labor on construction and demolition sites, including the construction, repair, and installation of structural woodwork and related materials. Responsibilities

• Perform physical labor on construction and demolition sites.
• Prepare and clean up job sites.
• Operate hand and power tools safely and effectively.
• Load and unload materials as needed.
• Construct, repair, restore, and install structural woodwork or metal and related materials.
• Travel nationwide up to 100% for job assignments.
• Attend weekly safety meetings and comply with safety rules and procedures.
• Recognize and report hazards or safety concerns to the Superintendent.
• Install locks, knobs, hinges, closures, and other fixtures to structures.
• Erect and disassemble scaffolding and other temporary structures.
• Build and position forms for pouring concrete.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Valid Driver's License required.
• OSHA 10 certification required within the first 60 days of employment.
• Basic knowledge of OSHA standards and construction safety procedures.
• Experience operating rough terrain forklift, bobcat, and lifts is highly desired.
• CPR and First Aid certification is highly desired.
• Knowledge of methods, materials, tools, and equipment used in rough and finished carpentry.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in commercial carpentry settings.
• Knowledge of building codes and requirements.
