About the position

As a Residential Carpenter with our high-end custom home construction company in the Flathead Valley, you will play a crucial role in bringing Montana dream homes to life. Our award-winning team is dedicated to quality craftsmanship, and we pride ourselves on using local artisans to execute our projects. This position is ideal for experienced carpenters who are passionate about woodworking and craftsmanship. You will be responsible for managing and executing complex carpentry tasks, ensuring that all projects meet our rigorous standards of quality and excellence. Your work will involve a variety of carpentry tasks, including finish carpentry, framing, and installation of fixtures, all while adhering to the specifications set by architects and maintaining a clean and organized work environment. This is a full-time position, offering a competitive pay rate of up to $40/hour, depending on your experience, along with generous time off for holidays and paid time off. Additionally, we offer fuel reimbursement and a tool purchase program to support your work.

Responsibilities

• Perform finish carpentry including siding, flooring, and built-ins.
• Contribute to the layout, calculations, and installation of framing, flooring, walls, and roof systems.
• Design and install fitted wooden shelves, cabinets, and drywall; install fixtures and fittings such as handles, locks, and hinges.
• Read and interpret designs to meet specifications set by architects and take measurements to prepare the site for construction.
• Follow all standards for kitchens and bathrooms in new and remodeling projects.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience in carpentry.
• At least 2 years of trim carpentry experience.
• Ability to read blueprints and written specifications.
• Must supply your own tools including a tool belt, hammer, square, cats paw, utility knife, pencils, Skilsaw, 2' level, chalk line, 25' tape measure, speed square, and wood chisel.
