About the position

The Carpentry Craftsperson at Tulsa Public Schools is responsible for performing various carpentry tasks, including hanging doors and using hand and power tools to cut and drill materials. This role requires a skilled craftsman who can complete work orders efficiently while reporting labor and costs to the foreperson. The position is designed for individuals with a moderate level of experience in carpentry, who can work under some direction and possess a general knowledge of carpentry equipment.

Responsibilities

• Complete all assigned work orders in a timely manner.
• Hang doors and measure materials for cutting.
• Cut and drill wood and other materials using hand and power tools.
• Report labor, cost, and pertinent notes regarding all assigned work orders to the foreperson daily.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Three years of experience in all phases of construction.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a valid Oklahoma driver's license.
• General knowledge and/or experience in all areas of carpentry equipment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Office Suite.

Nice-to-haves

• Bilingual in Spanish preferred.
