About the position

The Carpentry Materials Specialist at Renewal by Andersen is responsible for overseeing the procurement and delivery of specialized construction materials essential for renovation projects. This role requires a strong background in construction materials, ensuring that projects are completed efficiently and to high standards. The specialist will collaborate with internal teams to manage inventory, troubleshoot issues, and support pricing strategies, contributing to the overall success of the company's operations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee procurement and timely delivery of specialized materials, including siding and trim, for renovation projects.
• Gather critical information about pricing, specifications, and applications in the construction field.
• Coordinate project timelines with internal teams to ensure materials availability.
• Maintain optimal warehouse inventory levels and manage stock effectively.
• Identify and troubleshoot issues such as back orders to ensure smooth operations.
• Support special order requests and assist in shaping pricing strategies.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent (some college in a related field preferred).
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Proven knowledge of construction materials, industry applications, and related equipment.
• Capability to safely lift up to 75-100 lbs unassisted.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word), comfortable with data management and reporting.
• Strong attention to detail for inspecting products and processing orders.
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative spirit.
• Understanding of and commitment to safety protocols in a warehouse setting.
