Carpet and LVT Installer

About the position

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Flooring Installer to join WNY TILE & STONE CORP. The role involves laying down various floor materials, including vinyl and carpet tile, based on project specifications. The installer will also be responsible for demolition and removal of existing flooring, transporting materials, and preparing surfaces for installation. Proficiency in using power tools and familiarity with flooring installation techniques are essential for this position.

Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces for installation
• Use hand and power tools to install flooring material
• Work alongside other installers while emphasizing safety and efficient use of time and materials
• Maintain a safe working environment and follow safety guidelines

Requirements

• Prior experience as a flooring installer or completion of a relevant apprenticeship
• A high school diploma or GED certificate preferred
• Comprehensive knowledge of flooring materials and installation techniques
• Physical stamina and ability to lift 70lbs
• Keen attention to detail
• Must have a valid NYS Driver's License
• Must have a reliable vehicle
• Must be willing to travel within Western NY
• OSHA 10 certification is an asset
• Experience in installation of Sheet Vinyl, Stretch Carpet, and Wood flooring is an asset
