About the position

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Carpet Installer to join our team at RockBottom Flooring. The ideal candidate will have experience in installing various types of carpets and flooring materials, ensuring high-quality workmanship and customer satisfaction. This role requires a strong understanding of installation techniques, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Measure and cut carpet and flooring materials to fit designated areas accurately.
• Install carpet using appropriate techniques, tools, and adhesives to ensure durability and aesthetics.
• Prepare surfaces by cleaning, leveling, and applying necessary underlayment or padding.
• Perform caulking and sealing as needed to enhance the installation quality.
• Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and provide recommendations for flooring solutions.
• Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition, ensuring safety protocols are followed.
• Assist in the restoration process for water damage situations as required.
• Read and interpret schematics related to flooring layouts and installation procedures.

Requirements

• Proficiency in caulking techniques and use of hand tools related to flooring installation.
• Experience in maintenance person tasks, remodeling, or construction estimating is a plus.
• Knowledge of the restoration industry, particularly water damage restoration practices.
• Ability to work with various types of floor care materials and techniques.
• Strong problem-solving skills with an eye for detail in executing installation tasks.
• Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members.
