About the position
The Carrier or Thermo King Refrigeration Technician at Reefer Cool Inc. is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of Carrier refrigeration systems and other transport refrigeration equipment. This role is crucial for ensuring that customers' refrigeration units operate efficiently and effectively, contributing to overall customer satisfaction. The technician will work in various industrial and commercial settings, utilizing their technical skills to troubleshoot and resolve issues with refrigeration units.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair all types of refrigeration units according to manufacturers' specifications.
- Accurately diagnose complex engine conditions and perform necessary repairs.
- Conduct leak detection procedures, compressor replacements, and soldering of refrigerant lines.
- Replace evaporators, condensers, and front and rear main engine seals as needed.
- Identify and obtain necessary replacement parts to execute repairs.
- Ensure quality control of work to maximize customer satisfaction.
- Keep paperwork updated and submitted upon completion of tasks.
- Meet requirements for certifications and conform to all safety and health regulations.
Requirements
- Possess and maintain a valid Driver's license.
- Must have basic own tools.
- Demonstrate a good work ethic, positive attitude, and reliability.
- Possess an excellent understanding of Carrier Refrigeration systems.
- Experience with Thermo King systems is a plus.
- Must be physically able to lift and work without restrictions.
Nice-to-haves
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.
- Desire to take advantage of certification opportunities for updated product training.
- Solid written and verbal communication skills.
