About the position

The Carrier Relations Manager role at Mercer focuses on managing Supplemental Compensation programs and fostering relationships within the industry. This position is integral to supporting the overall business strategy while enhancing Mercer's brand in the market. The role requires a blend of negotiation, financial analysis, and compliance management, ensuring that the company meets all compensation disclosure requirements.

Responsibilities

• Negotiate, model, renew, budget, forecast, and account for close to 100 different Supplemental Compensation programs.
• Maintain and expand carrier-reported placement data to support the MarketInSight platform.
• Ensure compliance with all compensation requirements of MMC and Mercer related to compensation disclosure.
• Collaborate with Legal, Compliance, and Finance to drive Supplemental Compensation efforts and address escalations.

Requirements

• Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills with the ability to develop an internal network of colleagues across business units.
• Extensive experience working with financial reports and data, data modeling, and financial review.
• BA/BS in Finance, Accounting, or Insurance.

Nice-to-haves

• Prior client-facing brokerage or carrier experience preferred.
• Experience in reviewing, assimilating, and editing agreements to template requirements.
• An ideal candidate may have a post-graduate degree.
