About the position

The Cartographer/GIS Analyst at True Grid is responsible for creating high-quality cartographic products from GIS data, managing GIS staff workflows, and ensuring adherence to cartographic standards. This role requires a strong design sensibility and proficiency in GIS tools, particularly ArcGIS, to produce visually compelling maps and conduct geospatial analysis. The position also involves editing GIS data and may include non-spatial graphic design tasks.

Responsibilities

• Create high-quality, professional hard copy and web-based cartographic products from GIS data, adhering to established cartographic standards.
• Manage GIS staff mapping workflows, ensuring the application of cartographic standards and the production of visually compelling mapping outputs.
• Edit and manage GIS data, configure ArcGIS Enterprise and ArcGIS Online webmaps and layers, and conduct geospatial analysis.
• Assist with non-spatial graphic design tasks as needed.

Requirements

• 3 years of experience in GIS or related field.
• Demonstratable cartographic design experience (examples will be preferred).
• Excellent project management abilities coupled with a keen eye for detail.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
• Proficiency in ArcGIS Desktop suite of products.

Nice-to-haves

• Bachelor's degree in Geography, GIS, or Graphic Design.
