About the position

The position involves performing cartographic finishing, feature extraction, and managing geospatial data content to meet customer standards and project-specific guidance. The role requires managing a geospatial database, conducting quality assurance and control, and compiling and analyzing intelligence information to support operations. Additionally, the position includes preparing and presenting intelligence displays and reports, utilizing visual aids, and ensuring the accuracy of published documents.

Responsibilities

  • Perform cartographic finishing and feature extraction.
  • Manage a geospatial database and ensure data quality through QA/QC functions.
  • Compile, evaluate, research, and analyze intelligence information to support operations.
  • Prepare and present intelligence displays, reports, and briefings.
  • Create and edit documents for publishing, ensuring accuracy and clarity.

Requirements

  • Must attain and maintain active TS/SCI clearance.
  • 5 to 10 years of relevant experience required.
  • Bachelor's degree in GIS, Geography, or related field preferred.
  • Experience in cartographic finishing, feature extraction, and data content management.
  • Knowledge of CIB1, TLMs, MGCP products, MDG, DTED, SRTM, and boundary recovery processes.
  • Proficient in ArcGIS, Socet-Set, RemoteView, or comparable ELT software.
  • Superior knowledge of geospatial database content management.
  • Experience with FME, ESRI ETL tools, or similar software extensions.
  • Experience with GAIT, ArcGIS Data Reviewer, or comparable geospatial data inspection software.
  • Knowledge of intelligence organizations and systems, and techniques for analyzing information.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience using data mining tools and open source research methods.
  • Understanding of military capabilities and weapon systems.
  • Experience with application engineering, system administration, or software configuration of geospatial analysis software.
  • Knowledge of Python scripting to automate production processes.
