About the position

ManTech is seeking a Cartographer to enhance in-house and contract production capacity for DNC/ENC, improving response times and the quality of maritime data. The role involves evaluating various data sources, updating maritime features, and writing Python scripts to streamline production processes.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate sources of rasterized nautical charts, ENC, and digital hydrographic survey data.
• Compile or update maritime features and attributes for the SFH DNC/ENC portfolio.
• Extract features from various sources including rasterized nautical charts and orthorectified imagery.
• Write Python scripts in ArcGIS to improve production efficiency.
• Perform data conversion and migration.

Requirements

• 3 years of experience in cartographic finishing and feature extraction from maps and charts.
• Proficiency in ESRI ArcGIS and PLTS.
• Experience with geo-rectifying maps and charts.
• Knowledge of NGA products and services.
• Familiarity with geographic names information from the GNDB.
• Active TS/SCI security clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a Polygraph.
