Family Service Aides contracts with the State of Arizona to provide Supervised Visitation services for families involved with the AZ Department of Child Safety (DCS). Case Aides must be able to work with a diverse population in various settings and environments, adhere to an ethical code of conduct, remain objective, have excellent written and oral communication skills, ability to set and maintain professional boundaries, be organized, detail oriented, and be able to work various hours and schedules including evenings and weekends, in order to accommodate visitation requirements. This position works remotely in the field throughout Maricopa County and is required to come to the office in Phoenix for meetings, supervision, and training, etc. East Valley applicants are encouraged to apply. The ideal Case Aide would be a team player, have a great sense of humor, exercise good judgement and have previous experience working with children and/or families and/or Case Aide/Parent Aide experience. FSA also has a visitation center for its employees and families that includes a grocery market and cafe. Case Aides use their personal vehicle to transport children to and from visits throughout Maricopa County. Visits may occur in a DCS office, in the community, a visitation center or in a parent's home, when approved. Car seats are provided. Case Aides supervise parenting time, to ensure child safety, and document interactions and pertinent statements from parents/caregivers and children. Case Aides are required to provide guidance and coaching to parents during visits. Case Aides communicate with Foster Families, Parents, and DCS Case Managers in coordination of services. Case Aides are part of a team and attend company training, team meetings and monthly 1:1 supervision. Other duties as assigned. Transporting children to and from visits is a significant part of the Case Aide position. FSA does have company vehicles that are available for use along with gas cards. Case Aides must have flexible availability as visits may be scheduled in the morning, afternoon, after school, evenings and weekends. Hours and schedules will change according to caseload. Case Aides must be flexible and willing to accommodate client's needs.
