About the position

The Case Manager for Children, Youth, and Families in Bethlehem, PA, is responsible for delivering comprehensive social and case management services to residents of all ages. This role focuses on consumer-oriented programs aimed at enhancing the quality of life for individuals and their families. The Case Manager will work directly with diverse consumers to help them achieve better social, economic, emotional, or physical well-being through effective casework skills and problem-solving techniques.

Responsibilities

  • Provide a full range of social and case management services to County residents.
  • Utilize casework skills to gather information from consumers to access available resources.
  • Employ problem-solving techniques to assist consumers in achieving service plan goals.
  • Monitor consumer behavior and interact with service providers and agencies.
  • Exercise initiative and judgment to improve the lives of those served.

Requirements

  • Six months of experience as a County Caseworker 1.
  • Successful completion of the County Social Casework Intern program.
  • A bachelor's degree with a social welfare major.
  • A bachelor's degree supplemented by 12 college credits in related social sciences and one year of professional social casework experience.
  • Any equivalent combination of experience and training including 12 college credits in related social sciences.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience working with children, youth, and families in a social services context.
  • Knowledge of community resources and services available to families.
