About the position

The Case Manager for Crime Prevention & Intervention at the Urban League of Broward County plays a crucial role in deterring at-risk youth from engaging in criminal behavior. This position involves facilitating educational sessions, workshops, and community engagement initiatives aimed at promoting personal empowerment and social responsibility among youth. The Case Manager will serve as a liaison between law enforcement and the community, ensuring effective communication and collaboration to address issues of trust and safety.

Responsibilities

• Meet with local law enforcement to foster cooperation and address community issues.
• Facilitate weekly educational sessions for youth on topics such as human trafficking awareness and gang prevention.
• Conduct monthly teen summits to promote personal and community empowerment.
• Lead parenting workshops to equip parents with tools to prevent delinquent behaviors in their children.
• Ensure compliance with contracts and grant goals while operating within Urban League's objectives.
• Serve as a liaison to community-based agencies and governmental entities to further Urban League's goals.
• Submit required programmatic paperwork and reports in a timely manner.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in criminal justice, social work, or a related human service field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience directly servicing youth.
• Detailed knowledge and experience in documentation and report writing.
• Ability to express ideas clearly in both written and oral communications.
• Proficient in time management to fulfill tasks in a timely manner.
• Ability to work effectively with diverse individuals of all ages and backgrounds.
• Outstanding organizational skills and excellent presentation skills.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing needs and goals.
• Positive and team-oriented attitude.
• Valid Florida driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Pass a Level 2 fingerprinting, drug, and background screening.
