About the position
The Case Manager I position at Optum in Dublin, OH, is a vital role within the Optum Behavioral Care Team, focusing on overseeing care management, case management, and utilization review for behavioral health and substance abuse services. The role aims to improve healthcare delivery by ensuring that patients receive appropriate levels of care through a holistic approach that addresses their physical, mental, and social needs.
Responsibilities
- Schedule psychiatric and PCP appointments to maintain compliance with standards
- Coordinate services within and outside the clinic (counseling, medication management, welfare, vocational services)
- Implement and follow intervention plans written by a therapist
- Participate in monthly observations and weekly supervision with MHP Supervisor
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Experience with case management or other work in mental health care
Nice-to-haves
- Bachelor's or master's degree in psychology, counseling, or related field
- Experience with clients that present with various issues; substance abuse, domestic violence, trauma recovery, anxiety, depression, relationship problems with family or significant others, stress management, homelessness, and/or lack of resources
