About the position
The Case Manager for Refugee Cash Assistance at Catholic Charities Fort Worth plays a crucial role in supporting clients by providing assistance with benefit applications, conducting client intakes, and empowering clients towards economic self-sufficiency. This position is part of a mission-driven team dedicated to addressing poverty and enhancing the lives of families in the community through various support pathways.
Responsibilities
- Screen clients for eligibility into the RCA Program and provide application assistance.
- Conduct comprehensive client intakes.
- Monitor and evaluate clients' eligibility for monthly benefits.
- Work with other program staff to issue payments for allowances and document all transactions.
- Complete referrals to Employment Services and English Classes and monitor compliance with those programs.
- Empower clients towards economic self-sufficiency by educating them on their responsibilities for seeking employment and learning English.
- Document all client interactions and services in case notes as required.
- Complete all necessary documentation to ensure compliance with funder requirements and agency quality assurance standards.
- Ensure clients are enrolled in the program within 10 business days of referral and receive the first payment within 10 business days of enrollment.
- Meet service delivery tasks and effectively manage administrative duties.
- Collaborate with other Refugee Services members to support overall team goals and coordinate services for clients as necessary.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in social work or related field.
- One year of experience in social services or a combination of education and experience.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Bilingual skills in a common client language are preferred.
- Must have reliable transportation and a current Texas driver's license with evidence of auto liability insurance.
- Willingness to transport clients in your car.
