About the position

The Case Manager at Sentinel Offender Services is responsible for managing a caseload of offenders serving alternative sentences through electronic monitoring. This role involves comprehensive case management, ensuring compliance with court-ordered restrictions, and providing support to participants to facilitate successful reentry into the community. The Case Manager will communicate program requirements, conduct compliance appointments, and maintain detailed case files while collaborating with law enforcement and community corrections agencies.

Responsibilities

  • Provide program orientation to participants and communicate rules and regulations.
  • Recover monitoring devices from the field as needed.
  • Set guidelines and requirements for participants on the Electronic Monitoring program.
  • Conduct weekly or bi-weekly compliance appointments to review participant activity documentation.
  • Collect program fees and adjust daily rates as necessary.
  • Prepare reports and notices for case files and sentencing departments.
  • Review daily participant exception reports and investigate non-compliance issues.
  • Install or inspect electronic monitoring equipment used by participants.
  • Testify in court regarding participant compliance with program requirements.
  • Advise the Branch Manager of non-compliant participants and recommend removal from the program.
  • Maintain an auditable case file for all participants.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience in criminal justice or a related field preferred but not required.
  • Ability to communicate professionally with judges, employees, and program participants.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and other Windows-based programs.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for report preparation and record maintenance.
  • Ability to demonstrate problem-solving and customer service skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in criminal justice or related field preferred.
