About the position

The Case Manager Unit Supervisor for the Onboarding Unit at the Arizona Department of Economic Security is responsible for overseeing the work activities of subordinate staff, ensuring the delivery of high-quality services to individuals with developmental disabilities. This role involves supervising case management processes, providing training and technical assistance, and ensuring compliance with established standards and timelines. The supervisor will also facilitate meetings and collaborate with various stakeholders to enhance service delivery and support for clients.

Responsibilities

  • Supervises and directs work activities of subordinate staff; provides necessary training.
  • Provides technical advice and assistance to staff regarding development, implementation, or monitoring of member Person Centered Service Plan (PCSP).
  • Completes performance evaluations for staff members.
  • Reviews cases assigned to the work unit; assesses needs and assigns cases to staff members.
  • Reviews Person Centered Service Plans developed by Support Coordinators to ensure member needs are met.
  • Ensures assignment area is completed within established timelines in compliance with quality standards.
  • Attends and facilitates meetings, including staff meetings and district supervisory meetings.
  • Meets with subordinate staff to assist with identifying necessary changes and modifications to Individual Support Plans.

Requirements

  • Must be an Arizona licensed registered nurse in good standing OR possess a degree in social work with a minimum of three (3) years case management experience OR possess a bachelor's degree in psychology, special education, or counseling, with a minimum of three (3) years of case management experience and three (3) years of management experience.
  • Valid Level One fingerprint clearance card issued pursuant to Arizona Revised Statute 41-2758.07.
  • Ability to pass background and reference checks.
