About the position

The Case Manager at Clemson University's Youth Learning Institute is responsible for preparing child support cases for Family Court, performing courtroom activities under the supervision of DSS attorneys, and providing general child support services to clients. This role involves communication with various units within the Department of Social Services, maintaining case records, and conducting interviews with custodial parents.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare child support cases for Family Court under supervision.
  • Perform activities in the courtroom as directed by DSS attorneys.
  • Follow up on child support cases, including parent locate and processing of interstate cases.
  • Maintain case records and documentation in compliance with agency policy.
  • Communicate with other units within the Office of Integrated Child Support Services.
  • Refer non-custodial parents to the SNAP Employment and Training program.
  • Conduct interviews with custodial parents for various cases.
  • Ensure proper handling of personal identifying information (PII).

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 1 year of experience in social work, paralegal, administrative, or correctional fields preferred.

Nice-to-haves
