About the position

The Case Manager position at MERS Goodwill involves providing case management and job development services for individuals aged 55 and older who are unemployed and face multiple barriers to employment. The role focuses on recruiting and enrolling participants in a job training program, guiding them towards job readiness, and connecting them with community resources. The position requires extensive travel across a 9-county area in Southeast Missouri and emphasizes a mission-driven approach to empower older adults in their job search.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct intake interviews with potential participants to establish eligibility.
  • Develop and maintain individual service plans for participants.
  • Meet performance outcomes related to enrollments, graduation rates, employment, and retention.
  • Maintain effective communication with referring staff and internal teams.
  • Keep participant files updated with required documentation and maintain confidentiality.
  • Stay informed about community resources to support participant needs and make referrals as necessary.
  • Model professional workplace behavior and attire.
  • Participate in staff and community meetings as appropriate.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree or equivalent work experience; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Passion for working with older adults.
  • Excellent computer, time management, organization, and communication skills.
  • Independent transportation and valid driver's license with liability insurance required.
