About the position
The Case Manager at Tropical Texas Behavioral Health is responsible for providing social services and skills training to clients, focusing on mental health and behavioral health needs. This role involves conducting assessments, authorizing services, and evaluating their effectiveness while working under moderate supervision. The position offers a flexible schedule and requires bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.
Responsibilities
- Conduct individual and group skills training sessions according to the Texas Resilience and Recovery model.
- Perform routine and crisis screenings to assess the need for psychiatric hospitalization.
- Authorize and oversee services provided to clients.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of authorized services.
- Maintain certification for the State approved Uniform Assessment for Adults or Child/Youth within 90 days of hire.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, or a related field.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is required.
- Experience in crisis intervention and addiction counseling.
- Knowledge of case management and mental health counseling.
