About the position

The Case Manager for the Educational Resource Department is responsible for overseeing case management for special needs students. This role involves coordinating the identification of special education students, tracking necessary paperwork, and providing professional development to staff. The Case Manager also participates in school improvement activities and maintains compliance with state and city regulations regarding special education documentation.

Responsibilities

• Guide the Educational Resource Department team including psychologists, social workers, and special education staff.
• Oversee case management for special needs students.
• Coordinate the identification of special education students using the RTI process.
• Track necessary paperwork related to special education.
• Provide professional development to both special and regular education staff.
• Monitor teaching assignments for staff.
• Complete formal and informal evaluations for special education teachers.
• Participate in school improvement activities and curriculum development.
• Maintain all appropriate special education forms and records mandated by regulations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree (Preferred)
• 1 year of experience as a Case Manager (Required)
• Valid Professional Educator License (PEL) with learning behavior specialist endorsement (Required)
