About the position

The Cash Control Specialist is responsible for various cash processing tasks within a fast-paced environment. This role involves managing daily payment processing, handling returned payments, and ensuring accurate financial transactions. The specialist will work closely with Automated Clearing House (ACH) payments and perform reconciliations, contributing to the overall efficiency of cash operations.

Responsibilities

• General payment processing responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
• Manual mail opening and keying check posting.
• Posting unapplied funds with accuracy.
• Managing daily MSP task queue, including processing returned payments and fee waivers.
• Daily processing and reconciliation of Cash Operations letters.
• Setting up, canceling, and changing Automated Clearing House (ACH) payments.
• Processing payment posting transactions, reversals, and reapplications based on policy and procedures.
• Handling daily processing of return checks, bank adjustments, and encoding errors.
• Processing loan level disbursements.
• Performing other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• 1+ years of previous Banking, Accounts Payable, or Accounts Receivable experience.
• Current working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to accurately 10-key by touch with at least 10,000 KPH.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience with MSP is highly desired.
• 1+ years of experience in a lending environment is desired.
