The Cash Operating Clerk provides operational support that includes, but is not limited to currency and coin processing, equipment operation, recordkeeping and reconcilement, and the preparation of documents and reports.

Responsibilities

• Provide operational support for currency and coin processing.
• Operate equipment related to cash handling and processing.
• Maintain accurate recordkeeping and reconcilement of cash transactions.
• Prepare necessary documents and reports related to cash operations.

Requirements

• Typically does not require previous experience; one or more years of relevant experience preferred.
• High School Education or GED required.
• Ability to perform office-oriented tasks and handle physical elements of the job, including moving heavy bulk items.
• Meet physical requirements including regularly lifting items that weigh up to 50 pounds and transporting containers with mechanical aid that weigh over 1,000 pounds.
• Ability to use jack and forklift to move pallets preferred.
• Ability to stand and sit for long periods of time, with frequent movement, bending, and squatting.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in cash handling or banking operations is a plus.
• Familiarity with equipment used in cash processing.
