Cash Services Teller I

About the position

The Cash Services Teller I at Great Southern Bank is responsible for managing coin and currency orders, ensuring the accuracy and security of cash transactions, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment. This entry-level position requires attention to detail and adherence to banking regulations while providing excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Perform merchant deposits and change orders, verifying incoming correspondent bank deposits (35% of the time).
• Ensure incoming and outgoing shipments of money are signed for and monitor security cameras during armored car entrances.
• Process and balance incoming loose coin deposits as well as rolled coin (30% of the time).
• Run the cash-sorting machine (10% of the time).
• Maintain all security policies and procedures, ensuring a clean and safe work environment (15% of the time).
• Handle daily balancing and reconciliation of the vault and assigned cash drawer (10% of the time).
• Maintain regular and reliable attendance, punctuality, and personal appearance.
• Communicate clearly and efficiently via various types of correspondence.
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures, as well as applicable banking rules, regulations, and laws.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• 0 to 6 months of related experience and/or training.
• Regular use of desktop/laptop computer and basic operating systems.
• Basic experience with alphanumeric data entry, PowerPoint, Excel, Spreadsheet, and Word Processing.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide.
