About The Position

The Data Entry position within the Public Sector Lockbox business at Citi is a critical role responsible for managing data entry tasks in a high-security environment. The role requires attention to detail, adherence to compliance guidelines, and the ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays. The successful candidate will contribute to a positive team culture while ensuring quality and productivity standards are met.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated history of strong interpersonal skills and positive peer engagement in a diverse environment.
  • Ability to monitor data entry work streams to ensure timely completion.
  • Intermediate technical knowledge to deliver quality service.
  • Experience working well within a team environment towards common goals.
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong data entry skills.
  • Intermediate proficiency in PC applications, including MS Office and Lockbox Applications.
  • Professional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Prior experience in Lockbox, payment processing, banking, or operations is preferred.
  • Previous audit and quality control experience is a plus.
  • Self-motivated and goal-oriented with strong time management skills.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
  • U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residency is required.
  • Must be able to speak, write, and understand English.
  • Must pass an extensive background check.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior Lockbox, payment processing, banking experience or operations experience.
  • Previous audit and quality control experience.

Responsibilities

  • Meet or exceed quality and productivity standards as a member of the operations team.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for all data entry functions.
  • Demonstrate high focus and attention to detail to minimize rework.
  • Adapt to changes in deadlines and daily work assignments.
  • Timely escalate observed issues and proactively identify process improvement opportunities.
  • Collaborate with team members and managers to meet client timelines and quality requirements.
  • Provide feedback and guidance to other processors regarding their work output.
  • Support training for staff development and compliance with Citi training requirements.
  • Monitor workflow to ensure timely completion of tasks.
  • Operate within a highly regulated environment, adhering to policies and procedures.
  • Engage in cross-site and cross-shift initiatives to foster a positive team environment.
  • Cross-train for various internal roles and provide backup coverage as needed.
  • Assess risk in business decisions, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations.
  • Monitor data entry workflow across all streams and allocate resources as necessary.
  • Review error reports and provide insights to management.
  • Oversee New Hire training activities and update capacity models.
