About the position

As a Cash/UI Analyst at Labcorp, you will play a crucial role in managing and analyzing various projects that are essential to the department's operations. This position is designed for individuals who are passionate about improving healthcare delivery and are eager to contribute to life-changing healthcare breakthroughs. You will be responsible for managing, prioritizing, tracking, and reporting on projects assigned by the department manager. This includes developing and maintaining project plans that effectively define objectives, scope, deliverables, timeframes, and accountability requirements. Your analytical skills will be put to the test as you analyze, design, and develop solutions to solve a variety of business problems, providing leadership, guidance, and expertise in troubleshooting and resolving issues as they arise. Collaboration is key in this role, as you will work closely with other departments and business associates to analyze, understand, and define business rules for departmental workflows and system enhancements. You will also be tasked with creating and maintaining essential documentation that supports departmental and business operations. Your recommendations will provide a basis for management decisions, and you will communicate regularly with billing managers regarding issues, including quantification, impact, and suggested plans of action. Additionally, this role may involve mentoring or training fellow analysts or participating in company-wide projects, making it a dynamic and engaging position.

Responsibilities

  • Manage, prioritize, track and report on projects assigned by the department manager.
  • Develop and maintain project plans that effectively define objectives, scope deliverables, timeframes, and require accountability.
  • Analyze, design and develop solutions to solve a variety of business problems.
  • Provide leadership, guidance and expertise in troubleshooting and resolving problems.
  • Collaborate with other departments/business associates and programming to analyze, understand and define business rules for department workflow and system enhancements.
  • Create and maintain necessary departmental and business essential documentation.
  • Recommend solutions and courses of action to provide a basis for management decisions.
  • Communicate on a regular schedule with billing managers regarding issues including quantification, impact and suggested plan of action.
  • May include mentoring/training fellow analysts or company-wide projects.

Requirements

  • Requires High School diploma or equivalent with 3-5 years of Accounting, Analytical, Business or other related experience. Associates preferred.
  • Previous Labcorp system experience a plus; previous accounts receivables, medical billing, insurance (EOB) knowledge strongly preferred.
  • Strong analytical knowledge preferred; previous experience with reports, presentation of data, research of Unidentified Cash strongly preferred.
  • Basic accounting principles, accounts receivable calculations such as DSO, have/need, cash factor, and bad debt preferred.
