About the position

Foodland is seeking part-time Cashiers to provide fast, friendly, and accurate checkout services to customers. This role involves handling cash transactions, assisting customers, and maintaining a clean and organized checkout area. The position requires strong customer service skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide fast, friendly, and accurate checkout services using computerized cash register systems.
• Handle and count money, bag customers' orders, and assist shoppers in finding items in the store.
• Assist in cleaning and dusting the check stands and surrounding areas.
• Take return products back to proper shelf locations.
• Perform cash audits of the contents in assigned cash drawer.
• Resolve service and product-related customer service issues.
• Maintain a neat, well-groomed personal appearance and observe company dress code.
• Abide by all company policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties and assignments as directed.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age.
• High school education preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must successfully pass a math test.
• Must successfully pass cashier training after hire.
• TB Clearance required.
• Must comply with all company policies and requirements.

Nice-to-haves

• 1 year of cash handling experience (Preferred).
• 1 year of customer service experience (Preferred).
• TB Clearance (Preferred).
