About the position

We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Cashier and Food Runner to join our team. This role is crucial in ensuring that our guests receive their meals promptly and efficiently, working closely with kitchen staff and servers to enhance the overall dining experience.

Responsibilities

• Take orders and deliver food orders from the kitchen to the dining area in a timely manner.
• Answer the phone and prepare to-go items.
• Assist servers by ensuring that all food items are presented correctly and meet quality standards.
• Help maintain cleanliness in the dining area, including bussing tables and sanitizing surfaces.
• Communicate effectively with kitchen staff regarding order status and any special requests from guests.
• Support food preparation tasks as needed, including assembling dishes and ensuring proper food handling procedures are followed.
• Assist with cash handling duties when necessary, including processing payments and providing change.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure a smooth workflow during busy service periods.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a restaurant or café setting is preferred.
• Knowledge of food handling and safety regulations.
• Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively during peak hours.
• Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude.
• Experience with bussing tables and maintaining cleanliness in dining areas.
• Excellent communication skills to interact with both customers and team members.
• A willingness to help others and contribute to a supportive team environment.
